She wants revenge

Those who worked to produce the Report of the Chilean National Commission on Truth and Reconciliation were humbled by the generosity shown by the relatives of the victims they met. Certainly, many of them asked for justice. Hardly anyone, however, showed a desire for vengeance. The Report ends with the obvious overly-repeated sentence: “Most of them stressed that in the end, what really mattered to them was to know the truth, that the memory of their loved ones would not be denigrated or forgotten, and that such terrible things would never happen again.”

Thanks to my love one for getting me tickets to a show of “She Wants Revenge.” It’s just fascinating how much he gets me without even trying… maybe real love is made of simple and random circumstances. In any case, I plan to enjoy every single one of them as long as they last; and for the record, I really want revenge.
